Dream interpretation?

A friend of mine at work had a dream that I was resigning from my present job and all my friends were so sad I'm leaving, some even cried as I said goodbye. In reality I have no plan to resign from my present job. But why this dream came to my friend not myself? At work me and him are not working in the same room nor the same department, we seldom speak. He wonders why he had this dream, as much as I wonder too. Anyone can help?
