Tell me about TESL and what I'll learn?

I'm Malaysian and don't really speak English...But I wanna take TESL as my major course in university..I wanna ask is it really hard for me to study regarding that I don't really speak English...I just know a simple English...Help me because I'm afraid it will be the wrong choice..Thx...
